Notwehr - Stefan S. Solo

 Stefan, known as the voice of Notwehr, was keen on his old songs from the 90s. So I picked up the phone and spontaneously asked here what I thought of them. As my generation grew up with the sounds of Notwehr and many a cassette that had been recorded countless times was not only played on Walkmans in schoolyards but also at countless parties in the middle of prefab buildings, I was of course immediately excited and said yes. So we got the indexing notices from Bonn, read them, shook our heads countless times, had Stefan rewrite the lyrics where it was necessary, then sent them to our lawyers and then we could finally go into the studio. In the studio we worked on the CD for about 6 months until everyone involved was happy with the overall work. Musically I think it's a little more playful than the Notwehr stuff of the time, but the basic structure was retained. The result is 11 songs with a 20-page booklet containing all the lyrics and a 4-page copy of the story of how Notwehr started. It's a really strong CD with a great presentation!
