Skullhead - A Cry of Pain LP Edition 2024
The album "A Cry of Pain" (or "Cry of Pain") was first released in 1991 on Herbert Egoldt's Rock-O-Rama Records (sub-label "United Records") and was the band's third and last contractual studio album on this label.
Skullhead was a British rock-against-communism (RAC) band from the Newcastle area in the 1980s. Along with Brutal Attack, Skrewdriver and No Remorse, they were one of the most well-known bands of this genre. Led by Kev Turner, who later became known in the rave scene in the north-east of England as "MC Techno T", they started out as an Oi!-style band and then took on elements from heavy metal and other types of rock music. Skullhead described themselves as a "third position" band and wrote mainly lyrics about British pride, Nordic gods and anti-capitalism.
Important note: The songs "Breeding Centre" and "The Warning" are NOT included on this album. They had to be deleted for legal reasons. Instead, three songs from the "No Surrender" and "Gods of War" samplers were added. In addition, the song "Fighting for Victory" had to be slightly digitally edited for legal reasons.
Strictly limited to 499 units, hand-numbered, digitally remastered (vinyl mastering), only available in red 12 inch vinyl. 2nd edition, 11 songs with a playing time of around 44 minutes.
