Hermannskind - Ostwestfalen

Here is the solo project of the Sleipnir / Flak guitarist. "Ostwestfalen", the title of the album, is a declaration of love to his homeland set to music. Even though I'm not from East Westphalia myself, I feel picked up and understood by the lyrics. And that runs through the entire album. The lyrics are appealing and beautiful in a way that's hard to describe. Musically, a very beautiful and melodic rock album. And a very distinctive, soothing voice. You can tell that good old Dominik worked with attention to detail. The result is accordingly. 10 original compositions that really know how to convince. This solo project is very reminiscent of the two bands mentioned above, without degenerating into a copy. Great album. I really hope there's more to come.
