Uwocaust and the Angry Bois - Of the Old School Digi
The band already caused a bit of a surprise with their mini-album and now they're finally bringing us a whole album with "Vom alten Schlag". Both the music and the sound are simply classic OLD SCHOOL! But these guys (all around 50) aren't interested in sounding "forced" like they used to; the musicians have been part of the scene for decades and simply play the kind of music they like authentically. In addition to the relaxed guitars, the melodic bass and the driving drums, there's a sophisticated solo guitar and, of course, the saxophone is also used again.
Uwe has apparently once again been infected by the upbeat music, as he's probably never been so cheerful and humorous in such abundance. In the 12 songs, he packages experiences, emotions, and anecdotes into short stories that many defiantly honest men and women (even beyond subcultural boundaries) can surely identify with. Relaxed nostalgia meets highly topical topics. But don't worry, nothing is watered down here! The infamous "Uwocaust" shines through often enough and then knows how to press its finger on the respective sore spot. The stylish design of the six-page digipak + booklet visually underlines the groovy energy of this record, and the artist "Uncle Sheff" was once again brought in for the cover itself, delivering another impressive piece of artwork. The ANGRY BOIS have fortunately stayed true to their mix of Oi and relaxed street RAC. With their "courage to have their own sound," they prove that the old style can still rock. And not just in summer… So turn the volume up to full blast and party the place down!
